About Rig Rivals

Rig Rivals was born from a simple problem: coordinating team practice and qualifying sessions across different time zones is hard. Not everyone can be online at the same time, but teams still need to compete together.

Traditional racing requires everyone to be present simultaneously. But what if your teammate works nights? What if someone's in a different country? Rig Rivals solves this with asynchronous sessions — host a session that stays open for hours or days, and let team members submit their laps whenever they can drive.

How it works

  1. Create a session — Choose between asynchronous (open time window) or hotseat (local turns). Set your track, car class, and lap limits.
  2. Team members drive — In async mode, drivers submit laps on their own schedule. In hotseat mode, take turns at the same rig. The telemetry client automatically captures all data.
  3. Track performance — Watch the leaderboard update in real-time. Compare lap times, analyze sectors, and see who's fastest. Perfect for qualifying, practice, or full competitions.

Built for teams

We're sim racers who got tired of spreadsheets and manual time tracking. Rig Rivals integrates directly with iRacing's telemetry system — no manual entry needed. Just drive, and everything else happens automatically.

Whether you're running league qualifying sessions across time zones, organizing team practice, hosting local hotseat nights, or managing full championship seasons, Rig Rivals gives you the flexibility to race your way.

Use cases

  • Qualifying sessions — Open a 24-hour window, let everyone set their best time
  • Team practice — Track improvement over multiple sessions
  • Hotseat racing — Classic local competition with automatic tracking
  • Season championships — Organize multi-race series with points and badges
